After a phone interview, we will schedule our consultation where we will get to know each other and I will explain what to expect from me as your doula. I want you to feel safe and comfortable with me during this special time in your life. 

1-2 prenatal visits designed to help me really get to know you, we will:​

• discuss your beliefs about birth and pain medication 

• create a birth plan for your labor 

• discuss any fears or concerns of mom or partner 

• practice and review labor positions and relaxation techniques

• offer resources as needed

• finalize paperwork and payment

I will be on call and ready to be in the labor and delivery room with you from 2 weeks before your due date to 2 weeks after your due date. During this time feel free to reach out to me via phone or text to discuss any concerns about your labor/birth experiences. I am also available up to two weeks after your birth for any questions you have.

I will come to you at the agreed-upon time (decided in the prenatal interview) and will help support you throughout your labor and up to two hours after birth. 

I can help provide basic lactation support immediately after birth and during our postpartum visit. This can include lactation education, helping with latch, resource sharing, and referrals for any more complex cases. 

I will visit you one time after your birth when we can process your birth and I can help address any remaining concerns, and provide resources/referrals if needed.
